Senior School - Years 10 to 12

The Senior School continues to provide a strong focus on academic achievement, preparing for pathways of study leading to tertiary entrance or the workplace. Students set personal goals and early career directions in Year 10 and move into the senior schooling courses.

Contemporary approaches to teaching and learning are integrated throughout all subject areas along side a continued emphasis on the disciplines of English, Mathematics, Science and Technology. Practical subjects and the performing and creative arts are well represented in the subjects offered, catering for a wide variety of students needs and interests.

Whilst setting high expectations for academic achievement the Colleges’ recognize the diversity of abilities and interests among students. Each student is encouraged to reach his or her personal best and progress is monitored regularly. Students are well prepared for the Queensland Core Skills Test through the teaching of the Core Curriculum Elements at all year levels and test preparation. The EDUCANG Colleges are committed to educating the whole person and supporting children and young people in their learning journey throughout their years at the College.
