Drama

Forest Lake College’s innovative Drama program provides all students from Prep onwards the opportunity to learn effective communication, performance and ensemble skills.

All students learn Speech and Drama from Prep to Year Eight. Also, it can be chosen as a specialised drama elective from Year Nine to Year Twelve.  Drama is an Authority subject thus contributing towards a student’s overall position. Drama provides students with confidence and an opportunity to showcase their creativity as well as teaching rigorous academic concepts in preparation for tertiary education.

In addition, there is an opportunity for students to extend their acting and production skills by participating in the Year Three Speech Choir, the Middle and Senior School Drama Troupes and on alternative years, the College Musical.  All of these activities are provided as part of the College’s Co-curricular Program.

Speech and Drama private tuition is offered during both school and after school hours, which allows students to prepare for Brisbane Eisteddfods and exams in both AMEB and Trinity Guildhall London syllabi.
