Sporting Program

Sporting Philosophy

Sport plays such an important role in encouraging students to develop healthy lifestyles and a life-long love of physical activity.  Sport provides opportunities for students to learn to work together and acquire important life skills necessary beyond school, such as perseverance, work ethic, accepting defeat and embracing triumph.

Students at Forest Lake College are encouraged to participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities. Besides the TAS sports on offer, a full range of physical activities can be undertaken in PE classes.  Some of these include:

  • Kayaking and canoe polo;
  • Gaelic football;
  • European handball;
  • Golf;
  • Gym visits and fitness training;
  • Badminton;
  • Table tennis;
  • Lawn Bowls;
  • Oz tag and touch football;
  • Bocce and Boule.

Information on TAS Sports can be found here.
